Matt Sherman
AssociateMatt Sherman is an associate attorney at Granderson Des Rochers, LLP. At GDR, Matt specializes in music transactions and digital licensing, working with a variety of the firm’s developing and high-profile clients in both the music and new media practices. He also collaborates with the leadership in the corporate practice on corporate transactional matters, supporting athletes, artists and entrepreneurs in platforming themselves beyond their primary professions.
Accolades
Prior to joining GDR, Matt worked with independent filmmakers on film financing, and is credited as an Associate Producer in multiple films, including Sam & Kate, starring Dustin Hoffman and Sissy Spacek. He also worked for Warner Music Group, Universal Music Publishing Group, and Orcutt Legal, a boutique music practice located in Los Angeles. Matt received his B.B.A. in General Finance and B.S. in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin, and his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. While in law school, Matt was an Entertainment Law Fellow and Research Editor for the Loyola Entertainment Law Review.
