Korey J. Turner
AssociateKorey J. Turner is an Associate in the New Media Practice, where he works on transactional matters surrounding music licensing, digital media, and technology. In addition, he brings a robust interdisciplinary background to the team to counsel early-stage startups throughout various phases of strategic development.
Accolades
Prior to joining GDR, Korey worked as Associate Counsel, Business and Legal Affairs at The Orchard, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment. He received his JD/MBA from Howard University School of Law and School of Business. During his time at Howard, he served as a member of the Charles Hamilton Houston National Moot Court Team, and as vice-president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Students’ Association. Korey has an undergraduate degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from Columbia College Chicago. While in college he founded both an independent record label and a branding and marketing firm.
