Accolades

Prior to joining GDR, Joey led the music licensing team at TIDAL after its acquisition by Block. He also previously served as senior counsel in Loeb & Loeb’s music department representing startups, large financial institutions investing in music, and artists ranging from novice producers to multi-platinum recording artists, and as Empire's first head of business development, creating the legal and business affairs department as the company grew from a start-up distributor to an international label and power player in independent music. Joey received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
