Damien Granderson, a founding partner and chair of Granderson Des Rochers, LLP’s Music Practice, has been at the forefront of the entertainment industry for his dynamic and strategic approach to advising individual and corporate clients for long-term success. He has negotiated and structured some of the most innovative and cutting-edge transactions in entertainment and media on behalf of his clients, who include acclaimed recording artists, songwriters, producers, executives, independent labels, production and distribution companies.
Damien is consistently recognized as one of the industry’s most prominent attorneys, and has been named to Billboard’s “Top Music Lawyers” and “Change Agents” lists, The Hollywood Reporter’s “Top Music Lawyers” list, and Variety’s “Dealmakers Impact Report” and “Legal Impact Report.”
Beyond his legal practice, Damien is committed to fostering inclusion and diversity in his community as an active board member of the Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) and as a Trustee at The Center for Early Education.
Prior to launching the firm, Damien was a partner at Davis Shapiro Lewit Grabel Leven Granderson & Blake, LLP and began his career in Business & Legal Affairs at Entertainment One, LP (formerly, Koch Entertainment). He received his B.S. in Business Management from Stony Brook University and J.D. from Albany Law School. He is licensed in both NY and CA.
