Corey Martin is a Managing Partner and Chair of Granderson Des Rochers, LLP’s Entertainment Finance Practice. In this role, Corey oversees all corporate transactional matters involving the firm’s clients, which consist of companies and talent across the music, film, television, digital media, sports, and technology industries. In addition to corporate transactional legal services, Corey also provides strategic consulting and advisory services. In connection with these services, Corey and his department support entertainers, athletes, and celebrities seeking to achieve their entrepreneurial ambitions by structuring the formation of their companies and aligning them with venture capital, family office, and private equity investors.

Corey’s Entertainment Finance transactions are regularly featured in the media and entertainment industry trades, and he has served as a panelist at entertainment industry conferences such as the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers’ Association’s Annual Conference. Corey was recognized as one of the entertainment industry’s top attorneys by Variety in its 2022 “Legal Impact Report.”

Prior to joining the firm, Corey began his legal career at Shearman & Sterling, LLP, where he practiced corporate law in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. Corey later joined Loeb & Loeb, LLP as a Partner in the Private Equity Practice Group, and subsequently joined Davis Shapiro Lewit Grabel Leven Granderson & Blake, LLP as a Partner and Chair of the Corporate Practice Group. He received his B.B.A. in Finance from Howard University and his J.D. from the Howard University School of Law. Admitted to practice in the State of New York only.
